My Review:

When you enter this bright and cheery eatery, be prepared to make some tough decisions. The menu is teeming with creative combinations of numerous ingredients. Big menus always give me trouble, but eventually I realized that no matter what wrapped sandwich I chose, it would be delicious.

Roly Poly offers a dozen vegetarian wraps with names like Nut & Honey, French Twist, and Wild Scallion. Today, however, the BBQ Pork Melt caught my eye: sliced pork, bacon, cheddar and jalapeño jack cheese, BBQ sauce, & onion. My lunch companion, Tammy, chose the Hot Honey: smoked turkey, jalapeño jack cheese, bacon, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach. Both these sandwiches are grilled, but many cold sandwiches are offered, and whole wheat tortillas are available if you prefer. If you want to choose your own ingredients, the menu has a “roll your own” option to satisfy your creative urges.

We were served our sandwiches promptly, and dug in. They exceeded our expectations of deliciocity, but about half way through, I noticed the ingredients weren't what I remembered from the menu (I'm old, I'm allowed to have a slow memory). It turns out Tammy had my sandwich and I had hers. We decided it didn't really matter; they were both terrific. Besides, we knew we'd be back for more!

One caution: I strongly advise you to order the large size. The small size is 6 inches, but it's still a little thin and, although really yummy, it didn't fulfill my intense craving for food food food.

Prices range from $3.25 to $5.85 for most sandwiches. Hours are Mon-Sat 10am – 7pm, Sun 11am – 6pm (Yay! They're open on Sunday!) If you stop by while they're closed, you can still pick up a menu from the little box next to the door. Great idea, Roly Poly.

The people who work at Roly Poly are very friendly and we were pleased to hear business has been good for them in the short time they've been open. That's good news, because Corvallis needs a place like this. Where else can you find a sandwich with baked ham, brie & swiss cheese, peaches, pepper relish, and fresh dill horseradish sauce?
